Fun Friday Giveaway

The Lady Scribes have been doggedly typing away this week as many of us try to meet fast approaching deadlines. As a special thank you to our readers for reading our books and allowing us to do what we love most, we are giving you a sneak peek at what some of us have been working on this week. And we're offering small gifts of appreciation to our readers. Just leave a comment and include your email address to be entered into a drawing for free reads.

5 winners to be chosen!

Jennifer Lohmann

From Weekends in Carolina, out June 2014 (Harlequin Superromance)

"Trey would have bet substantial amounts of money that he would never have found a woman shooting tin cans with a .22 attractive. Or, for that matter, any woman standing behind his father’s house. This woman was evidence that he would have lost. He couldn’t see the woman’s face, but she had a fierceness to her stance, legs set apart and knees slightly bent, elbows sharp and dangerous, and he could describe the pinch in her facial features without her having to turn around."

Giveaway: Winner's choice of an ebook copy of one of Jennifer’s books (including a pre-order of her January book).

Suzanne Johnson

From "Penton 4" (no title yet).
“Damn!” Melissa stomped the brake, holding the car steady while the vehicle’s back end decided whether to shimmy left or right. Cage braced his boots hard against the floorboard.
They skidded to a stop less than ten feet from a gaunt man who'd careened onto the pavement in front of them. “Good reflexes, love. Stay put.” Cage studied the man for a couple of seconds before slowly opening his car door. He clutched the Colt in his left hand, finger on the trigger.
Giveaway: Choice of book from Suzanne’s books under the penname Susannah Sandlin - Redemption, Absolution, Omega, Storm Force (print or digital).

Julie Johnstone

From Dancing with the Devil

Trent surged to his feet and nearly shoved Pickering out of the way to get to Audrey. He had her in his arms and crushed against his chest before he realized what he’d done. Hell. Why was it that every time he was around Audrey his control slipped? There was no doubt he wanted her, but sometimes, like now as his body hummed with her nearness, he entertained the idea it was possibly more.

Giveaway: Reader’s choice of a print or ebook copy of What a Rogue Wants.

Terry Spear

From A Highland Wolf Christmas, out October 2014 (Sourcebooks)

She let out her breath in a huff. "Fine. You stay outside, in the car, or whatever. You don't go inside. And whatever you do, you don't get into a fight with their men. Or else." She gave him a dagger of a glower.
He smiled. "When it comes to doing my job, you have nothing to worry about."
She bit back a snort. Doing his job was very likely to cause trouble.
"It's a very regal affair. The men will be wearing Prince Charlie jackets and the like—not…" she considered Guthrie's open shirt—showing off a hint of his fascinatingly naked chest, sculpted to a fair-the-well.

Giveaway: An ebook copy of Huntress for Hire, a vampire romantic suspense, perfect for Halloween!

Samantha Grace

From In Bed With a Rogue, out September 2014 (Sourcebooks)

Helena’s eyes flared as a breathy laugh escaped her. “Is this where you wanted me?” She sounded both appalled and intrigued.
Sebastian flashed a grin. “This table looks sturdy enough.”
He stood between her knees, his arms slipping around her back. Her hands landed on his chest as if to push him away, but perhaps she thought better of it because they just rested lightly against his jacket. His pulse sped as her index finger drew a small circle over his heart.

Giveaway: Reader’s choice from Samantha’s Beau Monde Bachelor series (ebook copy or print) or Christmas novella, Twice Upon a Time (ebook copy only).

Don’t forget to leave your email address to be entered into the drawing.
