Romance Ramblings: Planning for Thanksgiving + Giveaway!

During this week's Romance Ramblings, Jerrica calls Ava a "baby woman" more than once and lives to tell the tale. They talk voting, cynical teenagers, planning for Thanksgiving, and bedside manner.
Today's preparing for Thanksgiving question - How many place settings do you have? One lucky commenter will win an audio copy of Jerrica's THe WARY WIDOW.

  1. I have to admit that I do not like the holidays, except as a day off from work! And I am a minimalist, too, who is constantly giving away things I no longer use. And I only have 4 place settings. Thanks for the giveaway chance! ;)

    1. Good for you, Maria! I need to work on being more of a minimalist. The Scientist calls me a "stacker". ;)

    2. A stacker?? That's so German. LOL!

Maria, I love the big holidays, but I don't like the small ones...why?? Because I don't like a day without mail. Ha!

And good for you for being a minimalist. I'm MUCH better than I used to be, but it's hard with a toddler. I think the saying goes, "Cleaning when you have children is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos." LOL!

    3. Jerrica I'm the same way. I love getting mail. I hate when columbus day comes around, because no mail and I look like an idiot because there is no mail.

  2. Place settings, what are those. I really don't have fine china or fancy stuff. You will be lucky if I use my regular dishes instead of paper plates.

    1. LOL, Melody! The Scientist would *kill* me if I used paper plates. The plate has to make a sound. ;)

    2. LOL! Plastic plates make a sound and disposables problem solve.

  4. LOL Great ramblings session. I love your hair, Ava...I don't care what the Scientist says! Oh, and Jerrica, I actually used to work as one of those 'princesses'. I was Snow White. (Just so you have an idea of what you're going to get!) ; ) Hmm, place settings. You mean the number of dishes inside of dishes? I have a four place settings but this year, I'll be eating on my couch with my husband's family and my parents coming for the Thanksgiving season.

  5. I have exactly 12 place settings. Going to our son's house for Thanksgiving, so I won't use my place settings until Christmas Eve. And 10 is all I need so we're good to go! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! jdh2690@gmail.com

  6. LOLOLOL
You ladies are too funny! I don't have place settings but my mom have a whole lot of plates and bowls stashed in the storage/laundry room. It can serve up to 50 people and more!

  7. Not entering! Wow, I did recently buy some more plates as I broke one, but I only have 5 adult forks. I just can't seem to find any silverware I really like. Or it is too expensive. So people will have to be content to use pastry forks when coming over for dinner ;)
Luckily, I don't like crowds, and especially family is only fun in small doses.

  8. We'll be having a family dinner - both my sisters & their families are visiting from out of town so there will be 11 of us. Anticipating a somewhat raucous meal with 4 teens of which 3 are boys; but it will be fun!

  9. I have place settings for 12, but we always end up with more guests than that.
