Introducing the New Girl on the Blog - & a Giveaway!

Hello! I'm so excited to join the Lady Scribes - such an eclectic group of authors whose books I absolutely adore.

I wanted to introduce myself to all of you, but instead of boring you with my bio I thought I'd make things fun. So I'm going to give you clues to five facts about myself. You'll have to figure out the answers.

And, because I believe that puzzles are only fun if there's a reward, I'm going to give away one of my books to one randomly selected person who leaves a comment.

Let the games begin!

1. I have American and British citizenship, but I don't live in either of those countries. What country do I live in? (Hint: I took this picture just a few miles from my house.)

2. Playing It Close, the second book in my London Legends series, is coming out on April 14. The series features men who play for a professional sports team--but what sport do they play? (Here's another photo hint!)

3. What color uniform shirt does my London Legends team wear? (Hint: Put together this puzzle and look at the men in the background.)

4. When I'm not writing romance novels, I have another career. I'm a writer and editor for humanitarian organizations and philanthropic foundations. Name one country I've traveled to for work. (Hint: I mention some of them on this page.)

5. I'm originally from California--but what city am I from? (Hint: Here's a map of places I've lived and trips I've taken. Click on the icon in California, and you'll see my hometown.)

Giveaway!

I'll randomly select one person to win a digital copy of one of my books - either Knowing the Score or Mine Under The Mistletoe. I'll announce the winner on Wednesday, February 12, on this blog--so keep your eyes open!

To enter, leave a comment below with at least THREE correct answers from the quiz above. Good luck!

(And if you love contemporary romance, I'm doing another giveaway on my blog this week. You could win a $10 book gift certificate for yourself and a contemporary romance author!)

  1. Kat,
Welcome to Lady Scribes! We're so happy to have you join us. Even though I knew the answer to the uniform color, I had to do the puzzle. It appears he plays for the skins team. I'm routing for them. ;)

  2. Kat,

The puzzle was fun! I know the sport because my ex-husband used to play rugby. Tight shorts, dirty songs, and the occasional naked man running--what's not to like about the sport?

    1. I'm a fan of any sport with frequent shorts-down moments. Maybe I should qualify that; I'm a fan of any sport played by hot guys where there are frequent shorts-down moments. Not sumo.

  4. Welcome to the blog. I love how you did your introduction. I have say that's creative. My answers: I'm going to say Holland, but that could be wrong. Lol. You write about rugby, because I haven't really seen a ball like that in real life. The uniform question, genius. Green by the way. You travel to England. You are from my favorite part of SD. What part of that area are you from. Because if I was to live there I would live in Poway.

    1. Thanks, Melody! I'm from Encinitas, in North County near the beach. I never spent much time in Poway. Why is that your favorite part of SD?

      Glad you liked my quiz!
